Hello Class!

I've posted below a few sites on specific subjects that you have shown interest in. I hope you enjoy!

1. Archimedes! A lot of you seemed interested in this great mathematician who not only loved and did amazing math, but also designed some awesome weapons and other cool inventions. His life is full of amusing and intruiging stories. The irony, humor, and genius of this great man make him fascinating! I hope you get a chance to take a look at this site to see some more of the stuff he did!

2. Fractals! Fractals never cease to amaze! We looked at only a few fractals and gave a very basic definition of them in class, so for those of you interested in seeing and learning more, this is a great site. There are a lot of pictures and great explanations! Don't be intimidated if you don't know what something is, just click on it to find out! Have fun!

3. Nova Videos! They're well-made, interesting, and they cover a wide variety of topics. We watched one in class and now I'm giving you a link to ones that are available on the internet so that you can watch them at home! Look through the different topics under physics and math to see what interests you. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
